7 Months Until Election Day
Seven months from today is election day. While Dave may have delayed his school board campaign from 2016 until 2018, you certainly could not have told the difference. Here are just a few things Dave has done since August 2016:
-
Attended over 50 hours of school board meetings
-
Became President of the Folsom Cordova PTA Council
-
Continued as a member of the Measure G Bond Oversight Committee
-
Visited over 20 FCUSD schools
-
Spent countless hours researching new ideas and initiatives so he can hit the ground running on Day 1

Dave Files His Candidate Intention Statement for 2018 Race
I filed my Candidate Intention Statement to run for Folsom Cordova School Board in 2018. It was not my goal to run the longest campaign in the history of the FCUSD but so it goes -- sometimes you just have to roll with it. I'd appreciate your vote in 811 days:)

Dave Delays Candidacy due to State Law
Friends and supporters,
I am grateful for your support of my campaign for School Board. While I was expecting to be on the ballot this November, I have to delay my candidacy until 2018 due to a provision of state law that deems a school board member to have a conflict if his or her spouse has worked for the school district for less than one year.
My wife Karen, who is a licensed clinical social worker, returned to the workforce in February 2016 as a part-time Health Assistant at Navigator Elementary School in Rancho Cordova – which means she does not yet meet the one year requirement.
I will continue to be active in the school district and at my three son’s schools as well as post interesting articles on education policy on this page. I look forward to opportunities to continue to connect with you and hear your ideas for ensuring a high quality education for our children.
Thank you for your continued support. I would appreciate your vote in 2018.

Dave Announces Candidacy for Folsom Cordova School Board
Karen and I have been so pleased with the quality of education, teachers, and schools in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. But success can sometimes lead to complacency. There is still so much that can be done from an educational policy perspective that will lead to economic empowerment for our children as they grow to adulthood. Our children are our community, state, and nation’s future. We can never be satisfied with the status quo. We can and must always do better. My professional career has been focused on creating innovative educational policies and initiatives in Folsom, Rancho Cordova, California, New York, and nationally. This is why I have decided to run for school board. I'd appreciate your support.
