Dave Reid

High quality and responsive education, and the educational policy that promotes these goals, has always been a passion of mine. Throughout my career, I have worked for legislative bodies, executive agencies, and nonprofit associations where I have been privileged to have been on the ground floor in the development of new and innovative programs and policies at the local, state and national level that have advanced educational opportunities for all students. Educational opportunities and economic empowerment are two sides of the same coin; you can’t have one without the other. 

Locally, I was a founding member of the Folsom Cordova Education Foundation, created the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce’s Business & Education Alliance Committee, and served on the PTA at both the unit and council level. For the last nine years, I have coached my sons’ recreational soccer teams. I am a graduate of Canisius College and Albany Law School. My wife Karen and I have three boys — Logan (5th grade), Connor (7th grade), and Jackson (9th grade) — in the Folsom Cordova School District.
